Underfloor Heating Mat - Measuring up
How to measure a floor for Klima underfloor heating mat
Calculate the free area to be heated. (Do not fit the Klima underfloor heating mat systems under fitted units). To calculate the size of the mat, allow a space of 150 or 200mm around the edge. Measure the remaining area. If, for instance, the full area is 2.9m x 4.4m, reduce both these measurements by 400mm to 2.5 x 4.0m, the area to be covered is 10m2. The size of Klima mat required would be 10m2.
When the area is not square, split the area into sections that can be measured and calculated as above. A final check can be made by drawing the mat out onto a scale drawing, this way a more accurate assessment of the mat size can be made. Always check the scale of the drawing. The Klima mat size should be given as a guide and all sizes should be checked before ordering or installing.
NOTE: Klima under floor heating mat cannot be reduced in size and the entire mat must be fitted.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND CHECK THE SIZE OF THE AREA TO BE COVERED.
